Mute Your Silence

My Sister continues the Blog this morning..enjoy!
Good morning family! When I was in the military, I was exposed to innumerable
characters with a variety of personalities. A vast majority of these
individuals had mindsets that were as firmly fixed as a country dog with a ham
bone.  They were well known for their tenacity and egocentric nature hidden
behind a small veneer of professionalism.  Any attempts to correct or admonish
was met with instant disdain or sarcasm.
Well on one particular morning, I was having what some would call the beginning of a bad day. The dismal climate changed dramatically for the worse when I  was confronted by an officer.
Apparently he was misled about a shipment. Instead of thoroughly investigating
, he automatically assumed that the information he received was accurate. Some
of you may or may not be aware of how I operate. You can calmly and
courteously ask me about anything. However, I don’t receive antagonism very
well at all.  My supervisor at the time begged me to present the data I
gathered with respect. I promised to make a concerted effort. Of course, when
I approached him, his condescending attitude in front of others made that
attempt fly out of the window. I had to speak in a manner that grabbed his
attention. Long story short, he appreciated my “method”, apologized to me in
front of the staff and admitted his mistake. Family, as long as you are right,
never be afraid to stand up and speak on it.
2 Samuel 12:8-13
” And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of
Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand
of Saul;  And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy
bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been
too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his
sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his
wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of
Ammon.  Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because
thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy
wife.  Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of
thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them
unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and
before the sun.  And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD.
And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt
not die.
